It was my first time.
Baguio, Philippines, located in Benguet; is probably the only province in the Philippines where it is cold. Baguio is the perfect summer getaway, due to the coolness and fresh air, unlike the urban, where it’s populated and crowded and humid too.
And so, we went to Baguio.
It was my mama’s birthday and we dragged practically the entire family to Baguio 2 months ago. We stayed for 3 days, and went to another province.
Here’s what happened.
First thing’s first, we traveled 6 hours in a bus from Quezon City to Baguio. It was fun, considering that what we were watching was San Andres and the scene in the movie was an earthquake and a girl was driving at the side of the mountain while the earthquake happened and her car fell off the side. It was really nerve racking, when I realized that we have to drive up a mountain.
6 hours later, we arrived and went straight to the apartment that we booked. The original plan was to book a hotel, since there was only the 2 of us. But then the plan changed, and the fact that we dragged almost the entire population of our family there, suddenly Hotel rooms aren’t ideal. (there’s 10 of us, by the way and then 3 more followed, so all in all there’s 13 of us traveling together) It will only cost so much. So, we booked an apartment instead. It’s perfect, we can do whatever we want there. We cooked lunch and I took a quick nap while the cooked.
After eating, we went out to explore.
The next day, my mama arranged a tour with someone.
And so, we went to a lot of places in one day and it was amazing.
First stop is a church. We have to because it’s my mama’s birthday and we have to pray and give thanks before we explore.
Next stop is the Botanical Garden. We also tried to dress up like the natives, and me feeling like a part of their tribe.
After dressing up, we went around the Garden to explore.
Next stop, we went horse riding with a PINK HORSE!
Then we went to the Mansion.
And then lunch time came and we went to this place full of pine trees for a picnic.
And then we went home after that, and did this!
PS; I fell in love with the view of our apartment window.
